Anasayfa » SIV Course

SIV içerik

SIV Traning is a huge step for flight safety, performance and overall fun. We highly recommend pilots to practice SIV multiple times during their paragliding career. Basic SIV will help you to understand the brake travel, spirals and collapses. Advanced SIV you will dig into the details of high energy maneuvers and stall. See below for more details.

Your Progression!

Your daily tasks will be set precisely for your best progression. Each pilot will have his/her speed and pace. You will practice at your personal limits.

No more Nervous Flights!

During this course you will learn the limits of your glider and how easily you can steer it. Your whole flying joy will improve as well as your safety.

Great Holiday!

The Turkish Riviera, Ölüdeniz, will host you during your course. So plan this trip as 1 in 2 program; holiday and training.

SIV Course description and price

This is a 4 day paragliding SIV course/Clinic. It covers theoretical lecture (3 hours), general briefing, equipment check, 1 warm up flight, 8 SIV flights with supervision, briefings and debriefing for each flight.

Intended maneuvers will be practiced multiple times till you get a good understanding and progression for that maneuver. Ölüdeniz has lots of altitude above the water, giving you the opportunity to pactice quite a lot in one flight.

Our focus will be collapses and fast decent techniques and glider control (turns and wingovers) if it will be your first SIV training. If you are already experienced or progressing fast, then the focus will be stalls and stall variations.

Your min experience needed?

Quite a wide range of pilots can benefit from this course as it is tailor made for the pilot. To attend this course you need to master takeoff and spot landing skills, have general understanding of air trafic rules. This course is not suitable for beginner pilots. You will be responsible from your own takeoff (there will be a TO marshall to assist and assess the weather) and safe flight from the TO to the landing zone..

What experienced pilot will find?

This is when our expertise comes into the scene. We will be very happy to help you understand high aspect ratio gliders behaviours. When you are already experienced and moving to an EN-C or EN-D or a 2 liner, we will prepare a special program for you.
-Managing the energy
-Discovering the brake range and tip behaviour before the stall
-Getting confident with high energy maneuvers
-Stalls
-Collapses
